The AccidentAL CAREGIVER SERIES: Helping others without losing yourself
Some of the most helpful life-concepts for me have come from my spiritual study through yoga training and its Eastern philosophy which led me to a deeper understanding of navigating life. I’ve decided to codify some of this insight in my own way and have written a series of life guides entitled The Accidental Caregiver Series: Helping Others Without Losing Yourself.

When I was 12-years-old, some of my friends would seek me out on the playground and ask me advice about their bodies, family issues and boys. Why they thought I could be of service, I am uncertain. My inner response to these queries was, ”Um, I don’t know, I’m 12!” However, never shying away from being helpful, I listened, offered what I could based on my very limited experience; then we passed around, Are You There God It’s Me Margaret by Judy Blume, and together we tried to gain insight into confusing times. Now, many years later, I have acquired some real perspective through life experience, hours of study and learning, trainings, practices, teachings, coaching and generally moving through opportunities disguised as mistakes. I’ve written curriculum for yoga teaching programs, blog essays and marketing copy as I operated my own businesses.
